π Mandatory Flexi-CR for EDGE
What is the EDGE Roll-out?
From 2H 2026, the EDGE grant will consolidate three existing grants βMarket Readiness Assistance (MRA) grant, Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG), and Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)β into a single scheme supporting Singapore businesses with up to $100,000 per year for eligible activities
In preparation for EDGE, all pre-approved solutions must adopt a Flexible Packages (Flexi) structure which involves two mandatory changes:
Variable Cost Items (VCI) β configurable, add-on cost components attached to a base package
Standardised Unit of Measurement (UOM) β replacing free-text UOM fields with a pre-defined list
Once your packages are approved, they will be made available via the Package Builder on the SMEs Go Digital Platform, where BGP applicants can select and construct a package that suits their needs, along with any applicable Variable Cost Items required for their project implementation.
For example, if your Package 1 is designed for 10 users, 2 man-days for setup, and 1 day of training, a BGP applicant could use the Package Builder to procure the base package and add on additional Variable Cost Items such as extra licences or additional man-days of professional services for data migration as required for their specific project implementation.
What must vendors do?
All vendors must submit a Change Request (Flexi-CR) per approved solution to migrate the existing solution packages to Flexi structure. This process will be activated progressively by solution category, starting from April 2026. EDGE is targeted to go live from 2H 2026.
What this means for you?
New Applicants
Applications submitted from April 2026 onwards that are on track to receive a Letter of Appointment (LOA) before the Flexi Activation Date will be listed on BGP first, and subsequently on EDGE.
Applications that are not on track for LOA issuance before the Flexi Activation Date will require an update in Pricing and Packages section to include Flexi before resubmission. Such solutions will be listed on EDGE when it goes live (October 2026 onwards).
Existing Vendor who has no ongoing change request
You are required to review your solution packages and submit a Flexi-CR for each pre-approved solution.
This applies even if you do not intend to change your package configuration β at minimum, your packages must adopt a standardised UOM.
Vendors will be contacted with their scheduled Flexi-CR submission dates, based on solution category.
Existing Vendor who has an ongoing change request
If you have an existing CR (e.g. for pricing or naming changes) that is still in progress after the Flexi Activation Date, you must incorporate Flexi changes (VCI and standardised UOM) into that change request before resubmission for evaluation.
All Flexi-CR changes will take effect upon the launch of EDGE in October 2026. Change Requests submitted after the deadline will not be processed until after EDGE has launched. Please refer to the table below for respective deadlines.
